When I first start my car and let it idle the service engine soon lite comes on. If I take the car for a drive and shut it off then start it back up the lite is gone. I have replaced the Idle control motor,Map sensor,both o2 sensors,sparkplugs&wires. When retreiving the codes I get P031,R060,R061. All are showing history. I tried unhooking the battery neg. cable but the lite comes back. The car run's great but this service engine lite is driving me nut's. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Hello I have a 95 Deville 4.9L I went on ebay and was able to buy the factory service manual that list each error code and step by step trouble shooting. You might try looking for the same manual they are great

 

Is the SES light still coming on?

 

I had to replace my egr valve and the light does not come on any more
