new here with questions on a 93 deville obd1 codes
Hello all great site. I have recently purchased a 93 deville with 130k , The battery was dead when i bought it. After recharge i found a check engine and a SSS light on. I had a guy run the obd1 test on the climate control panel and only got a 188 code. I couldnt do it because the car is 150 miles from me. the car starts and runs fine but i want to get things fixed prior to bringing it home. I know that the sss light is the suspension and probaly the struts gone south . I will do the wire snip and wire patch for that. but I would like to know whats causing the check engine light and the 188 code? any ideas??
The code and the SES light may be related, but are you sure it's 188? I cannot find it in http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/dtcobd1.html
