2003 CTS Stability System Engaged?

Default 2003 CTS Stability System Engaged?
Going down the road in normal conditions sometimes the Stability System Engaged kicks on, and the car goes into some type of braking mode briefly, then it is fine. What is causing this? And how do I fix it?
