Default 2000 SLS Brake lights

I'm having a problem with the brake lights on my wife's 2000 SLS. The fender brake lights (after I replaced the bulbs) and the LED truck light work fine, but the 4 lights on the trunk don't.I replaced the 4 bulbs, 2 outboard ones were the push in type and the 2 inboard ones are bayonets (number on them was 1077, made in Hungary, which I can't find and replaced with the 3154 type.) The car has been hit twice in the rear and used parts were installed. The harness on the body feeding the decklidhas an 8 pin connector with just 7 pins used, the harness on the decklid has 8 pins/wires, one of the pins feeding from an empty hole in the body harness. Was an incorrect trunk harness used? The last time we got it back from the body shop I checked the lights and just made sure that the trunk LED light worked, can't remember if the brake lights on the decklid were working or not. Are there different decklid harnesses for the SLS and STS models? Anyone have a suggestion as to what might be the problem?
Thanks,
John

My suggestion would be to return to body shop and contact ins.co if that applies,if you haven't already to correct it.Electrical repairs tied to collision repairs with used parts are not always easy and can take alot of time to figure out.If condition is still unresolved post again with # on tail light harnesses. Hope it helps
