Default 2000 Eldorado with honking horn

I have a 2000 eldorado. Over the last few days the horn has honked as if the alarm function was tripped. The horn honking quits after a key fob button is pushed. Is this an indication of a dying battery in the car? The battery sight-glass doesn't show the 'green indicator' light anymore. The indicator light is just dark - no color, no light. The car starts fine and has no signs of weak or dying battery. That's why i am wondering if the horn is a pre-warning for a dead battery.

There is no "battery is done warning" low voltage can cause many unusal things to happen. Have battery tested, also check condition of cables. Does "Security" light operate correctly? Check for codes - see FAQ - no scanner required. Post what you find.

The battery was tested and results are fine. It's not the battery. It appears there is a "drain" somewhere in the system causing battery to run down. The charging system works fine. I am headed to the dealer shop for further diagnosis. Thankyou for your time - I will post the results when I get them.
