1999 Cadillac SLS electrical problems
#12
'03 SLS here. I'm having an issue as well. Mine is apparently running the battery down over the course of about six hours. I'm hoping that clearing all of the codes will solve this issue but I'm remaining skeptical. I guess we'll see in the morning. I've only had it for a day so I just figured out that it had this problem this morning. I'll be sure and post up when I get it figured out.
EDIT: I'd like to add that I checked amperage draw on the positive battery cable with the car off and got a reading of .007 amps. We all know that kind of draw won't kill a battery in six hours so I've probably got to learn a thing or two about DC circuitry...

I just tried to fire her up. There wasn't enough juice in the batt. to kick out the starter. I've been digging around other threads and found out a few other related issues. The radio doesn't illuminate but I can use the steering wheel controls to change volume and station. The automatic headlamps didn't work when I first got it, DIC always said that headlamps were suggested. They worked yesterday though after I removed and re-installed every fuse. The fuel door has also been opening randomly. The last one settled it for me. I'm changing out the RIM. I'll report back with my findings in hopes to help others with the same issue.
