i have a 1996 SLS that the key won't quite turn enough to remove(it will if you force it) but the shifter shifts freely from P to 1 with out brake being pressed. with key in as far off as i can get it, all guages are of but the shifter light on console and panel are still lit up. battery ran down but charged up ok. starts and runs ok shuts off with key. what do i do?
