Had a 92 Eldorado with the same problems; low oil pressure indicator comes on; 223 temp, turn off engine comes on; low fuel comes on. 97,000 miles; been sitting for 2 years. Took off radiator; cleaned @ shop; replaced thermostat. Fans are working good.

Question: heard from some sources that the instrument panel was a problem with the Eldo & the Seville; thinking about using some manual type gauges.........any ideas? Or any comments about the panel?

tater50.... are you having trouble w/ instruments, or other things? would dout you could change from digital to anolog

Cluster intergrated into electronics, needs to stay. Check for codes and grounds.

 

panel will indicate lo fuel, then will move to full; yet info will indicate mileage range as LO. (car is almost full of gas)

panel will show temp @ 216 up to 223, then states to turn off engine, yet I can can touch the upper radiator hose with my hand; it is hot, but does not feel extreme.

I have heard that the panels are expensive to send off & calibrate; can I go ahead & install quality manual temp & oil pressure gauges?
