Please help
car runs great until engine warms up then the engine starts making a pinging or rougher sound code e48 shows up also service engine soon light comes on then goes off. I looked up this code and the egr valve causing this but could something else cause this like egr solenoid or oxygen sensor like i said before it only happens when engine warms up after driving it. thanx alot any help i sure could use it

 

Have you done a timing check lately??Could be a little too far advanced. The temp. sensor could cause rough symptoms also.Poss. oxy sensor too. Do you have the throttle position sensor on your car??
