I have option to buy 2002 Cadillac, i think that is Deville for very low price, 1700$ is asking.
Car has 200k on it and check engine is ON. Car is very well maintained, like new.
My question is, what is the most possible for light is ON, and is that good price? what is the usually wrong with engine and how much is possible repair?Is possible that everything good with engine just need a general service?fa

In general if it sounds too good to be true it usually is. Think of it like this; worst case scenario you have to put a motor in. Is it still worth it? Sorry no technical advice, but I've almost made this mistake many times. Make sure you run the **** out of it if you test drive it and check for a blown head gasket or low end knocking.
