Virtually every XLR I've seen has numerous dents on the console, particularly rearward of the transmission selector lever. Some are largish, but others are so tiny as to render the cause mysterious. Even the techs I've talked to are unclear as to the source.

1) Anybody know what causes them?

2) Anybody had the console fascia replaced under warranty?

 

Nothing mysterious, just careless owners and simple mistakes. The aluminum cladding on the center IP and lower console dents very easy, and there's virtually no way to fix them without replacing the affected trim pieces.

These aren't warranty repairs, and are considered normal wear and tear.
