Default brake dust

I just bought a 2009 cts-v a week ago and I have what seems like a lot of break dust on the wheels all the time. Is this normal?

remember the yuppies running around in their beemers, and the front wheels were just black with break dust? yea pretty normal to start. if you think it is excessive, maybe you should have it checked, but you will always get some. remembering one of my rear breakes was hanging up a bit, which produced more dust. keep an eye on it, but..... pretty normal

oh.... there is a cover one can buy for that purpose. like anything they have there pros and cons though.

Thanks for the input rickyd. I guess I'm not used to performance brakes. I will keep an eye on them though.

yea the brake covers will keep 99% of the brake dust off your wheels, and if i remember the cost is not too bad. you may want to look onto them.
