Default Sts 2008 sound off! HELP SOMEBODY!!!

Sup Caddy folks. All sound off in my 2008 sts-V8. Everything visually works fine..just no sound. No chimes, turn signal...nothing. Went off a few weeks ago after had damaged driver side seat panel replace-( about a week after replaced). Was off for about a week then suddenly came back on. Stayed on for almost 2 weeks & cut off. It has been off now over a week. Have been all over internet & found no resolution. Disconnected & reconnected amp..nothing. did battery check..nothing. drained power & restart...nothing. how do I know if amp is getting power? Are their fuses for amp? Is there a reset on amp? Is there something I should be checking under the driver seat? Im gonna try a new/used amp. Has anyone ever fixed this prob without getting fisted by the dealer? HELP!

Ok...caddy friends; took my 2008 sts-v to the dealer. They ran a check & said it was the amp & it would cost me $1,800 to fix. I thought he said $800...but he said NO...$1800. I laughed my way out the door. I went on ebay..used amp...$90. It came in 2days. Took 5min 2 change & my sound is back on. If u have the same prob...its the amp. Make sure that u get the exact GM PART #. Take all steps be4 U go to dealer. 1) check battery. 2) check fuses. 3) check amp.(order amp with eBay return guarantee) that way u can send back if don't work. If that doesn't work...5) See dealer. I hope this helps SOMEBODY. PEACE 2U all.
