Default strut faulure 1993,why?

what really makes the road sensing struts fail? my act like there is no dampning at all.i see aftermarket non adj out there,but what really failed?is there a way to fool them into a std shock,thanks,mike

What really failed? Thats the question. Was it the position sensor, the wiring, the module or the strut itself.
Using the stored trouble code and a diagnostic flow chart will lead you to the root of the failure.

Some systems can be "fooled" to turn the light off. It usually requires wiring in a relay to the suspention control module.
