ok, found starter is most likely the problem....poss cables. vinny won't know till he is into it, and wants it when it wont start........ my question: should i one up on the starter, (if there is such a thing) or go with the starter from a Cadillac dealer? I am planning to keep thests, so itsjust a thought.
dealer quote $184. seems fair to me....... you?
thanks to all

If local dealer is a"Service Plus" dealer starter would carry a LIFETIME P&L warranty. Over the counter 12 mo. unlimited miles. If your going towards over the counter and the way you travel; nationwide parts supplier with a good reputation with electrical parts. Most lifetime warranty A/M parts are part only you pick up the labor. If local dealer isn't "Service Plus", find one that is and have them do it.
