stabilizer maintenance
Hi there,
I have a Cadillac Seville STS 2001, and my board computer says maintenance of stabilizer. I don't know if there is a context, but another problem is, that when I take a turn left and apply the brakes the ABS takes effect and it rumbles
Does anybody has an idea what the reason for this problem is or how to fix it?
Thanks for all answers and information

Codes? Stability system has multiple componets which can be cause. Position sensors are the most common cause. On your own, look under front wheel housings see if links are attached to control arms.

Code
I made a test drive. Befor this test drive I cleared all codes.
After test drive (after clearing all Codes)
ABS C1287 History
Before test drive:
C1288 History
C1287 History
U1016 IPC History
U1301 IRC History
U1000 IRC History
U1016 IRC History
MSM U1000 History
NAV U1000 History
NDA U1016 History
TTM U1016 History

Vehicle Stability Enhancement System (VSES)
C1287 and C1288 indicate a problem with your VSES. The specific cause could be a poor connector connection; a bad circuit; a bad steering wheel position sensor (SWPS); or a bad electronic brake control module (EBCM).
Since your problem is intermittent a bad connection or circuit is possible. Check for poor connections at the harness connectors to the SWPS and the EBCM. The SWPS is under the dash below the steering shaft jacket. The EBCM is in front of the engine on the driver's side.

unplugged connector
when i looked under the steering wheel, there was an unplugged female connector, like a giant harness with many cables. Its in the middle unter the steering wheel.
it looks like the counter piece of that connector, which I found on the internet
Does anybody know what this cable is for?

Steering Wheel Position Sensor
The connector you are looking at is for a cell phone. It won't work in Europe. The SWPS is a small connector at the base of the steering column. See item 54 and item 2 in the attached photos.
