Default Left Oxygen Sensor & P046

Hi I'm new so please don't yell at me! LOL. I have a '93 seville STS. The following OBD codes are persisitently coming up P017 (oxygen sensor not ready) & P046 (unbalanced fuel left/right). How hard is it to change the left sensor (any links to instructions would be gr8!)? The car runs fine and I just took it out on a 300km trip. I reset the OBD at least 3 times and still the P017 came up repeatedly. Is there imminent damage if I just continue driving with a P046? Thanks and this site has been so helpful (its where I learned to read the OBD in the first place).
Cheers
Marc

O2 sensor is not hard to change, they make a special socket to do it or a 7/8" or 22 mm wrench will also work.
