Default heated oxygen sensor

i have a 97 northstar 4.6 and it is hard to start i have to crank it 3-4 times to start it...sometimes i smell gas and i check for leaks and i dont see any also idles a little rough but drives good...the codes that i got off the car are p1153 b1552 b2710 b1971...i know the p1553 is a heated oxygen sensor could that be part of the problem?...and the gas that i smell could it be from just flooding the engine or leaking from the fuel rail... i just got the car so i will check fuel rail tommorow after work but if anyone has any suggestions or had the same problem please leave info...

ok i looked under the top cover of the engine and found that one of the seals to the intake valve's was blown off...im guessing that would be the reason for the hard starting and the rough idle can anyone please tell me why this would have happened?
