I have a 2006 STS V6, my front doors won't open from the outside, I have to use the key for the drivers side door to open the door, Anybody have any ideas of why this is happeniing? thank you

Key isn't opening the door - it is unlocking it. You need to define your problem precisely to get assistance in fixing it.

 

thank you for the replies and sorry about the lack of information, here is some more detail of the problem. The STS has a key fob that when it is near the car the doors unlock and you can open the door but now even when I use the key fob to unlock the doors I can not open the front doors from the outside without using the key to open the driver's front door, I don't know if the key fob transmitter is bad or it is something electrical with the doors
