Default Any AWD Non-STS4s?

There is a 2007 STS for sale in my local area.
The dealer swears it is all-wheel drive, but it doesn't have an STS4 badge.
I've never seen a non-4 AWD option.
What do you guys think?

In 2007, you could get the V6 with or without AWD. A V8 was also available.
If you're uncertain, a quick trip up on a lift will uncover the truth.
Somebody could've debadged it; I took the emblems off my AWD CTS.

What would I look for, underneath?
Also, it has a normal STS badge.
It doesn't look like a 4 was ever there.
I guess someone could have removed it and replaced it with a normal badge.

I wasn't sure if there was an easy indicator (like part of the VIN, the door sticker, etc...).

Look for a transfer case , differential, or drive axles to the front wheels.
You could check the RPO codes on the spare tire cover; I believe MX0 is RWD & MX7 is AWD.
Or get the VIN and call a Caddy dealer-they could verify it.

If the guy is not being honest about THAT, who knows what else he's lying about.
Good luck!

Thanks for the information.
I don't think it's an issue of honesty.
It's a consignment dealer and I think he is just basing it off what he was told.
I just want to prove it, for my own benefit.

There are more 2WD Cadillac cars than AWD except maybe in 'snow country". If you get the vin or at least the last 8 characters., local dealer can tell you if car is 2wd or awd, warranty status, and any recalls or policies before you buy.
