Hi there,

my name is Peter i come from Germany and own a cadillac sts northstar 96.

I`ve got a problem with my waterpump. There is no more rotation an the pump leaks at the rearside of the housing.

now i have to replace ist. i`ve found in this forum a thread. there is named a spezial-tool.

is there a way to replace the waterpum without this spezial-tool?
i have no chance to get this tool here in germany. or is there a way to get this tool from the states?

thank you for this link. it saves me a lot of money.

they told me here in germany by opel ( gm-dealer ), that the repair will
cost about 1500 euro.

now i have to pay 70 euro for the waterpump and i think 40 euro for the tool.

1500-70-40=1390 euro saved ..

keep the tool in the trunk for the next time.
