i just changed the ac compressor on my 1998 cadillac sts. I disconnected the battery and when finished i reconnected the battery. The car clicks, but does not start. i checked every fuse no blown fus. i removed battery and had tested battery is fine. I only removed battery cables and line to alternator. checked all connections and they are tight. Security light stays on and cannot believe the key transmitter is the problem.

I cannot figure it out. I do not know how to reprogram the key or reset the security?? I am looking for some help.

 

What did you do im having the same problem. I replaced the fuel pump, changed the oil and oil filter, and new battery. Started right up ran great so i went in and cleared codes so my oils life could be reset and i reset all of them. Know it turns over but wont start. And suggestions im pretty good at figuring things out but this has got me stumped.
