Hello people, I am glad to find a place where people have the same love for cadillacs as I do. I've owned a few of them in my day my first being an 83 triple white coupe with the infamous 4100 in it. Needless to say it sat more then I drove it, but it looked pretty sitting. I just brought an 92 STS with the 4.9 in it. Now I am probably gonna start something with this, but I like the 4.9 better then the northstar. Ask me why. Anyhow I'm having trouble with my STS as it won't start. Battery is fine starter is fine even changed the starter switch, anyone have any ideas? Also, the guages don't work neither does the heat and trip computer info. ECU maybe? Since I only paid 300 for the car I figured there where gonna be some problems, but I only got to drive it once and I am in real need to get it on the road. I will reply to everything cause I can talk about cadillacs all day.

4900's are great engines. less complicated than a N*.

I dont understand. it never run for you? boguth it not running?
also, we are looking at either electrical or fuel, but dont know where to start.

Guess I should explain. I dorve it home 20 miles then started a few more times to check it out the it just went dead. I turn the key it does the bulb test and the four bings then nothing. I have had the started checked, changed the starter switch and put in a new battery. I even changed the starter relay but still nothing. Only other thing that happens is the RAP relay clicks, don't know if that is the problem. I am lost.

In responce to e-mail - search related treads I have answered no starts several times. Speedo and tach inop - check for codes and post them. Car wet inside grounds and corrosion likely, car may not be worth fixing.
