Default Remote control setup

Our remote buttons to activate the garage door opener have never worked - won't setup.
Anyone else have a similar issue with theremote (Universal Home Remote System) module for the onboard remote garage / gate / entry clickers.
It's mounted in the drivers visor - good choice on a sunny afternoon - and in two months we haven't been able to get the system to accept the setup.
Calls to Cadillac Roadside Assistance, which promised a callback in minutes, have never happened.
Good thing it wasn't an emergency. We have an appointment to take it in and hope to have a resolution, but the future isn't looking sunny.

You need to contact Homelink phone number is in owners manual. It is programmed at your home or where you are planning to use it not dealership. It will work with most but not all garage door openners.

I have the same problem. It's all about what opener you have. I had an STS, which has Homelink - the buttons were on the console attached to the roof near the rearview mirror.I now have anSRX and it has a Leer system - the buttons are on the visor. I have a Maranac opener and it will not work with the Leer system. I contacted Maranac and they were the ones who advised me of the problem. This is probably your problem.
