Default 2007 SRX Suspension - Standard or Magnetic Ride Control

My wife and I have been planning on buying a 2007 SRX by the end of the year. We waited until the 2007 came out because we did not like the way the dashboard was designed in the 2006 and was hoping the redesign looked more luxurious. So far, we are thinking of getting the V6 with standard suspension. Does anyone have a comment on the Magnetic Ride Control? Should we spend the money for this option or does the standard suspension work just fine. Thanks for your help!!

From people I know who have it, and from magazine articles of various cars, the Magentic Ride control seems to be worth the $$. I'd say, go for it!

I have an 07 SRX4 V8 with MRC.. It is well worth the extra money. If you drive one with MRC first and then one without... it is a huge difference. Test them on a sharp exit or entrance ramp. Without has noticable body roll... with MRC has zero body roll. Same under hard braking.. with MRC no body nose dive at all...

I'm thinking of replacing my 2005 SRX with a new one and I'm glad to read your positive remarks about the MRC. We've only two complaints about our 2005: (1) the doors stop short of the running board [changed on newer models]; and the harsh ride when going over an irregular surface DIAGONALLY. It really tosses us side to side. Any comments about MRC and that situation?
