the 98 STS needs a new water pump and I wanted to know if any of yall had replaced one on on an STS before and if so what all did it involve?

 

You must purchase a special water pump removal tool otherwise you will break the block and render the engine pretty much uuseless. Do not do the repair unless you get the tool!

Not sure what you are used to but the pump is small compared to say a small block chevy. The pump is on the drivers side of the engine.

 

i talked to the mechanic and i think i will just let them do the water pump they are charging less than 100 for labor so. but thanks for the info.
