Seville or Eldorado? Your advice wanted
I have the chance to buy either a slant-back Seville (1985) in excellent condition, 75k miles or a 91 Eldorado, also clean, with 89K. I like both cars, so it is a difficult decision for me. Can you share some advice, personal experience on either vehicle? Thanks!

Standard engine, fuel-injected 250 cu. in. (4.1 liter) V-8,
four-speed overdrive automatic transmission, THM325-4L
could also choose a diesel V-8

- 4100 135 hp / 200 lbs-ft torque vs 4900 200 hp / 275 lbs-ft torque ... POWER
- '91 ABS vs '85 no ABS .. STOPPING
- '85 model of the 4100 .. plagued with failures
- transmissions .. '85 THM325-4Lis weak, '91 4T60-E is stronger ..
hands down, the '91

IF I just say buy the '91, he goes to bed wondering why, spend all day tomorrow doing research as to why.
Now, he goes to bed knowing why and hopefully, he remembers us.

Yes, and I appreciate the information and responses. I just have this thing for the look of the 85, but I do know the model was very problematic. I printed out photos of both models, and the 85 does look like a car from a totally different (earlier) time period. I have an 88 DeVille with the 4.5 engine -- couldn't ask for a better car, so maybe that is enough for the 80's look and feel
Thanks!
Thanks!
