Problem with road suspense system
Hi,
I have a Seville STS '92 4.9L, export version. It has some problems wich maybe belong to each other.
Firstproblem:When I turn ignition on, the air compressor in the rear begins towork, but doesn't stop for 7 minutes. I've read, it could be because a leak in the system.
The second one: At theinformationcenterapears "SERVICE RIDE CONTROL".
And the third: In the Onboard Diagnostics System appears the error code "I039 CURRENT" wich means "Loss of Road Sensing Suspension Data".
Please help if anyone knows something about this!
Thanks

Theres sensors located on each of the shocks, it sounds like one of them has gone bad or the shock itself is bad. Problem is you can't just buy the sensor you have to replace the whole shock. I got all my shocks from Arnott Ind. Well i hope that helps a little.
I have had the IO39 error in my 93 seville for a while now. i know what the message is and what is causing it but this is my question.
Do I have to go back to the same kind of shocks or can I swap them out for a passive system. And if yes, Then can anyone recomend what I should use?
Thanks?
