I have a 96' caddy Seville sts. Traction control light is on and car feels like it has no first gear. "Traction control off" button in glovebox does nothing. Help.

 

Ok in the computer menu I found TCS off. Now how do I turn it on. Im tired of having no first gear. Help before I just scrap this car and get another Lexus.


I also read somewhere that a faulty ignition system may do this. On my screen it does flash "service ignition system". Could that be the problem? If so how can it bue fixed? I will try to pull all the current and history codes and post them shortly.

Current-pc0340. Ac1314. Rs0038. Pz2042.

History-pc1377. Pc1602. Pc1644. Ip1910. Ip1911.

While driving I get a "service ignition system" and "service emission system ".
