i got my cady finally but i noticed that radio only picks up stations that are with in 7 miles[&o] when in any other car ive owned i can pick up the stations that are with in 60-80miles away. I know there is an antenna on the rear glass that seems to be in good shape but is there any other places on the car that helps reception that i can check out. Other than that the cd player works great any hint are greatly appreciated.

If in fact, it is an antenna problem then AM will be worse. Put it on AM and push the search button. If the radio continues to search and never stops, you have an antenna problem. time to check where the antenna lead runs and where it plugs in.

 

Ya i tried both am and fm both just scann untill i hit stations that are in 7 mile radius. In my town we have three radio staions and thats all i get. If drive to a city with more stations and get close enogh i can get those staions. i Do wonder if the crack in the windshield is causing the antenna on the windowin the front not to work. I am pretty sure the antenna is still pluged in in the back, and its just the contacts on the window possibly but not sur how to test them.
