99 SLS Bose loses tone settings when changing station
Every time I change the radio station on the Bose headunit in my 99 SLS, the tone controls (Bass, Midrange, Treble) are reset back to the midpoint. It's gotten so I don't change the radio station anymore, I flip over to the CD.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

reset your tone control as you want them for every station, then set your station.........see if that works

Thanks for the welcome!
I'm not sure I understand your comment, tho - every time i change the station, the tone controls reset, no matter what I do. I'll attempt to give your suggestion a try, tho - ya never know....

sorry GTO, it was a little misleading.... you can adjust tone controls differentlyfor each preset, 1 thru 6. ex: preset, station 1..... set the station you want, then adjust tone as you want it.... then (last step) set that station. that should keep the tone you set for thatstation.....
hope that helps......... let the Forum know

RE: 99 SLS Bose loses tone settings when changing station
Let's just say I wan't my rap station on preset 1: 99.1 FM.
Let's just say I wan't my country station on preset 2: 102.7 FM.
To set those two stations, I use the SEEK feature to get to the station, and (2) press and HOLD the preset button to save the preset.
THEN, I turn the BASS all the way UP and Treble about middle for 99.1 while on that station and then (2) press and HOLD the preset to save the Bass/Treble/Midrange for THAT SPECIFIC STATION.
It's quite a cool feature. Different types of music are better with different bass/treble/midrange settings, I like it!
