Have it checked out for faulty crank sensors. I had the same exact problem on my 2003 SLS at around 50,000 miles. Bet you'll find the crank sensors need replaced.

That price sounds about right although if you have a good reputable mechanic do the work you might get cut a deal on labor. DON'T have a Cadillac dealership do the repairs, you'll pay out the nose! Both A and B sensors were bad on mine. If only one is bad, it might not be a bad idea to have both of them replaced at once. Keep up on your repairs and your SLS should treat you right for many years. I've had mine almost two years and have only had to replace the crank sensors and battery. Also give it some WOT when you can, it works.

You can look in our FAQ and find out how it is recommended to perform WOT.

Default crank sensor RE: 2003 Cadillac SLS turning off while driving

ORIGINAL: FriscoSLS

What does history mean when you run diognostics

history codes means it happened.

current codes means it is happening.

if your sensor has a glitch, it will show "current" while it is happening,
but when you power down and restart, it may well go to history.

that is why you were asked to post the code ...

actually it would still be a good thing to post it that way YOU will be
helping others identify the problem.
