2000 seville tire vibration
I own a 2000 seville sls 76000m and when i hit 50+ mph the car begins to vibrate. I had an allignment and the problem was still present. I am going to purchase new tires this week. What tires should i purchase that could possibly eliminate this vibration. And also what tires in general are the best for this car in regards to comfort. The tires now are goodyear eagle ls. Thank you

RE: 2000 seville tire vibration
When the new tires are installed make sure you have the tech check for an out of round wheel. Another possibility is a warped brake rotor, so when you hit the brakes any vibrations?
Tires make a big difference however and will most likely fix your problem. They are a personal choice. Cadillac installed Michelin I believe as OEM. Always a good idea to trust that the people who made your car knew what made it ride best.

RE: 2000 seville tire vibration
I just put Michelin Hydro Edge tires on my '99 STS. Very nice, not terribly expensive and ride improved greatly compared to the worn-out tires on it when I bought. Have your mechanic check carefully for worn wheel hubs (believe that's what they'e called). Bearings are inside, but unlike every other vehicle I've owned, you can't replace/repack just the bearings. At least it's not a terribly expensive repair as far as this car goes...

A vibration at 50 to 60 MPH is usually just tire balance. Any tire not balanced when installed will tend to vibrate. Seeing as how you are replacing worn tires already the vibration will probably cease because they will now be balanced. Best brand??? you are about to receive everybodys idea whats best.
