Hello guys im new here and have a big problem .

Recetly ive purchased a 1992 cadillac seville sts from a friend of mine it runs like a charm
the only problem is that when im driving the whole dash just go's out , and the AC go's of and switches to Heat and its 90 degreez out side
the Check Engine Light comes on duno why
Any 1 have any ideas on what should i do



ALso lol i couldn't tell how much gas i had and almost got stuck in another town eventualy after about 2 mins or so it comes right back on
but this time it didn't
the lights and stuff stays on radi ect just the dash cant see how fast im going neither

 

Try this simple reset on the computer and see if problem persists. Disconnect negative battery ground for 20 minutes or so. Reconnect and start up and drive around.Tell us what happens.

 

hey Katzman.....hows it going? sounds like grounds to me.... i'm not sure if the 92 is grounded like my 99. if it is thats where i'm looking.

yea, i went through the disconnect the battery for a few months....then started going after grounds....one by one...... thats it on mine.....

 

Yes rickyd has a good point as well. Bad grounds cause lots of problems with cars loaded with electonics.
