Default Trans trouble?

I took a drive today, about 30 miles total mixed highway/city. On my way home the car started to shift funny and shudder a little when I would take off from a dead stop. I have been warned against trans flushes, why? I havent changed the fluid or filter yet so I should do that at least right? I just had the oil changed and the radiator flushed and filled. They checked the fluid and said that it was full and looked ok. What gives?

It's hard to advise without a road test. Try to be more discriptive. Also note what speeds trans is up or down shifting at when it's acting up. Check for codes. Then repost. You might also find a trans shop with a good rep in your area, if a visit is required.

OK how do I check the codes? And there isnt a good trans shop anywhere near me to help. So the fluid and filter wont help much? And also why is the flush not a good idea? Thanks for all your help guys.

To get codes press off and warmer(red) button on ac control head. codes will display E._ then 7.0.

Flushing trans fluid if you already have transmission troubles can make them worse.
