I am having some problems with my Cadillac. Problem 1) I was driving to work the other day when I came to a stop sign, I stopped but when I went to go I had no acceleration or engine revving and heard a loud clanking sound coming from under the car, but I was able to idle to work. About four hours later I went to start the car and all it did not want to turn over, it would ting and clank and shake. well about 14 hrs later I got a tow truck to tow it back to my house and he went to start it and it started fine, it would rev and all that jazz, but now when I start it, it does one of two things. A) it will start and idle fine, if I ease on the gas it runs, but it I floor it, the car will stall or B) the car will not turn over and if it does the engine violently shakes and then stall about 10 seconds after. With both problems the exhaust smells like a snowmobile. I have no idea what said problem can be.

 

maybe bad fuel have you tried changing your filter also which engine do you have? the regular 350 or the fuel injected lt1
