I just want to know if there is any way to tighten up the chrome pieces so they don't rock back and forth when you go down the road the only pieces that move is the very back ones on each side any tricks to help this out would be apperciated.

 

I'm guessing the wide lower moldings - on a 20 year old car my guess you need some new retainers. A trip to the dealer for an illustration of the different retainers along with availability should help. A temporary solution try to tuck 3/8-1/2 inch wide 3M 2 sided tape between molding and body. It should be available at auto parts or auto body supply stores.
