I’m sure this has been discussed at great lengths so I apologize for asking again but I have a 2004 Escalade EXT with a terrible grinding noise from the left front. I know these are known for the front differential bearings going bad, but I see dozens of different options ranging from just the bearing and race for $20 to $100 for a total rebuild kit.

The grinding is getting worse so I have to get it fixed asap. Any advice on which kit I need to get and tips for installation? I’ve found a couple of walk-troughs on YouTube but none of them are really in-depth. She’s leaving the truck with me in 2 weeks so I would like to be prepared.
