Trying to figure out what all headlight bulbs will work in my 2007 cadillac escalade esv. The dealer is telling me that the only ones they show are the D1S bulbs, which are $297. I have search for them through local part store, napa, autozone...etc and they all give me DR2 and D1R part numbers. Will these work as well, is there a certain D1S bulb or what, because i have found them for alot cheaper than the price the dealer gave me. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

 

i dont have an answer for you but my personal experience with autozone, napa, etc .. is that if their books call for something and it doesnt work with your vehicle, they will take it back .. in fact, some of them, specially Pep Boys, will even install them for a small fee which is probably much cheaper than the quoted $'s you provided ...

Yes they are the only bulbs that will work I bought some off of EBay and they work just find a good person with good feed back.

 

Check the ballast. My 2007 Escalade EXT headlight goes out after about a minute after turning on. After pricing the bulbs, I decided to try the ballast, first. I’m going to replace the ballast soon. I’ll keep you posted on how that turns out.
