I have a 2000 Escalade which was left unattended for a few minutes and on my return there was a stream of smoke coming from the drivers seat. I was fortunate to catch it and turn off the heater switch to the seat. End result - a burnt hole in the leather seat. Cadillac advises they are unaware of any problems and will not repair it. Has anyone else experienced this problem? There was a large recall by Jeep after they learned of potential fire hazzards with their heated seats.

 

I own a 2003 Escalade and within the past two weeks my heated seats on the drivers seat turn on by themselves. They also flash on and off. Has anyone else had this problem? I am afraid of a fire when I am out of the car.
