brake drag on 2011 escalade awd
so i recently changed the brake pads on my caddy and since then I've noticed she's a bit slower and would get a strong brake smell after driving. the first couple of days i chocked it up to just braking in new pads. but its been about 5 days now and i have noticed the smell is only associated with one wheel (drivers rear) and its considerably warmer than the others which leads me to believe its a hung brake or brake drag. i know the causes are typically worn calipers, rotors, brake lines, slides, or bolts. but they all appear relatively new. granted the truck is about 10 years old, but every thing appears to operate as it should upon inspection.
Questions
1. can i jack up the rear (both sides) and rotate the wheels to see if the calipers may be warped? the reason i ask is the AWD. i am assuming i have to get both wheels up off the deck.
2. i know i can manually move the piston in with a clamp and out with the pedal which makes me think the caliper may be okay.
thanks for the help.
