Default 2007 Escalade "Home Link Programming"

Does anyone know how to program the "Home Link" buttons in an 07 Escalade? I programmed it for my garage but my garage has the "smart button". I need to program it for the gate at the front of my neighborhood but I don't have access to the controls, I only have a remote control/clicker for the front gate. Is there any way to program the home link with only a remote control?

Thanks

garage openers (new er ones) have rolling codes, that is why you have first do remote, then press your your smart or learn button and then the truck.

gates don't have rolling codes (at least not the one I install). The only problem is some gate openers, the signal times out. You have to keep pressing until it takes in homelink. then it shoudl work. In the manual, it says this, it is pass the regular seciton..

i programmed my commuites gates doing this.

Should I press the button on the current remote while pushing the home link button? Should I actually be at the gate and open the gate while pressing the home link button? Which button should I keep pressing, home link button or original gate button?

The garage door was really easy! I have a gate on the front of my house and the neighborhood and I can't get either one tho work.

Thanks for the help!

you have to keep pressing (press amnd re-press)your gate remote, while holding the homelink button. It may take a while to take. when it does you will be in good shape. don't need to be in form tof gate, except to test.

Also got to www.homelink.com

Well you could call roadside assistance and they'll program it for you for free. That's with your GM 5 yrs or 100.000 mile warrenty.

i have been trying to program garage door and community gate with no luck, called cs and was pointed to the company that OEM's the link system http://www.learcar2u.com/

from what i understand, this system is different from what we have always been used too www.homelink.com asit doesnt learn the frequency from the hand held remote control, it is supposed to teach its own frequency to the garage or gate etc..... I like the old system better, this one is very frustrating so far

i hope someone can shed some light on this???

thanks,
shay

Default Programming gate

I was able to program my gate today! You have to follow the directions from the learcar2u.com site. I got the code from the stand alone remote which was a fix code and programmed it successfully.

Good luck! Please let me know if I can help as this thread got me in the right direction.
