Default 07 Escalade Fuel Economy

I have been driving my new Escalade for about 2 weeks and seems to waste much more gas than my Hummer H2. The trip computer shows 7.5 Miles per gallon and a full tank lasts me only couple of days. Made me very concerned.

How much does everyone else average on their truck?

Thanks,

Roman

I get 12 MPG in the city, and close to 16-17 on the freeway, but that's looking at my history on the computer. I haven't actually measured it by determining miles driven versus how many gallons used, but maybe I'll do that next time.

My truck weighs 5960 pounds though, so it might weigh more than yours. AWD also kills my mileage, and the 6.0 liter engine may make a difference if you have the 5.3.

The 07's are supposed to get slightly better mileage than the last Gen's.
Vetteviperguy is on par with our customer base for MPG.

If i drove that new 400+hp monster my first few tanks off fuel would go real quick also

ya my 07 gets way better gas than my 02 but i dont hav any mods on it yet. the saleslady said it switches its usage from 8 cylindewr to less if it deems the other cylinders unnecessary making it more fuel efficient. the yearly cost stated on the sticker read 4800 a year for gas but i havent had the 07 for near that long yet so ya.

Yeah I had the same question too, I test drove the Escalade 2007 AWD and let me say its nice. Ride and Power is great. I plan to get one soon but my concern was the gas mileage and the cost because I know someday it will go back up. I asked the sales guy how much it does on city and hwy and he says dont look at the milage on the sticker window because its wrong. He said this can do 16 in city and 20-21 on hwy, so I am assuming he's pulling my leg. I heard from others that the 07's really doesn't make a differents maybe by a 1 mpg. I read an article in Car and Driver that the Active Fuel Management is coming and plus the RWD is coming soon as well. We will just have to wait and see. Probably we will see similar mileage numbers as the current Chevy Tahoe 07 which does 16city and 22 hwy.

no leg pulling here. I have an 03 Eascalade AWD 6.0L with 40k mi. I drive mostly around town, some highway and over the last 18k i've averaged 16.4 mpg. on a trip to WY running 80 i averaged 19.4 mpg.
I also have heard the latest generation gets even better.
