Default Oil leak. 01 Eldorado

I was going to buy Blue Devil stop oil leak bottle at part store but counter guy asked what kind of car and said it would not do any good to use on the north star motor and I should save my money. Any have advice on whether to use or not?

There isn't a miracle oil leak fix. Head gaskets in a can are iffy. You need to know what is leaking. Valve cover gaskets and seals aren't too bad. Lower crankcase is a major repair since engine or transmission has to come out to do it.

I love these cars but some of thier engineering is just plain questionable. Cant change the oil pan gskt without removing the transmission. The head bolts were not engineered correctly for the power of the motor. I did the front valave cover gskt but not the back one yet...look like a pain in the *** also......SMH
