Hi all, I'm a newbie here on this site but not to Cadillacs. My last Cad was a 1995 Eldo ETC from new and all was great ( other than having the factory dash cd player replaced, & Traction control warning coming on dash, but all fixed in warranty ) right up till I had to sell because of finance's back then. It had 36,000 when sold. Now I want to buy a 2001-02 Eldo ETC for my wife as a gift and need some advice as I continue to see postings about head gasket problems with the northstar motor. I also saw a few oil main leaks on 1997-98 used Eldo's I checked out. I see the rear mains seals were re-designed by GM in 2000, did this do the trick? Any other problems I should look out for on these '01-'02 model year Eldos? The Eldo I'm looking at now is a 2001 ETC, 76,000 miles, white pearl with Shale leather, perfect inside & out as to paint & interior, & factory chrome wheels & tires are mint as well. Car has all do***ents & service records & clean carfax & title, $6,450, which is about $1,800 under low edmunds book. Thanks guys
