I recently had my battery go bad on my 1994 El Dorado Touring Coupe after just one year. After replacing the battery I noticed the following problems: The dash lights do not work (as well as the lights on the shifter). All of the green digital notifications do work. However, although the digital clock display above the radio is on and the time can be reset, the clock no longer keeps time. Also the FM radio band stopped working and AM only gets one station. (The antennae continues to go up and down when the radio is switched on). Occasionally when I turn the ignition key to start the car the dash display lights come on momentarily and then go off again after the green digital notifications check the system. Everything else seems to work fine including all the dash gauges. I read that the dash lights may stop working if a tail light is not working. All the tail lights and the side bumper lights appear to be working just fine. Any idea of how to resolve this quandary?
