Ok, so I have a 1988 Cadillac Eldorado, basic version, that I've had for nearly 2 years. Over the course of the past few months, I've had a problem with the digital displays flickering on and off, from the Speedometer and Odometer displays, to the A/C and Driver Info Center displays, followed by the smell & sight of burnt wire smoke coming from just underneath the center console where the Driver Information Center is located. Just this month though, all of my displays, excluding my radio, have gone blank, and the smell of burnt wires has disappeared too. A buddy of mine said that it could be a loose wire, and that all I would need to do is tighten it up underneath the console. The only problem is that I have no idea what to look for underneath here, or if that is even the real cause. Does anyone know where I could find a Wiring Diagram of the IPC for my 88 Eldorado?
