Shifter light in the console
#2
Are you referring to the light that illuminates the shift pattern P R N D 3 2 1 ?
My advice is you go to the dealer. I know it will cost money but if you break that console that will likely exceed the cost of the repair. If the dealer is decent it may not cost that much. I have a friend who is a trim tech at a Dealer and he learns quick tricks to get these things fixed in a fraction of the time that the flat rate manual suggests.

Thank you. You're right, it would be expensive if I broke something on the console. I really don't need the light because the indicater on the display on the dash board still works. It's just a little annoying to have such a nice car and not have everything working properly. Thanks again.

Ya I really had to check my car to see the light on the console because the shift quadrant displays in the Speedo as you mentioned. It is redundant but I can understand wanting everything to work right.
