My window broke and I found out that it was the regulator guide. I got it off but can't figure out how to get it back on. It's 1986 Cadillac Deville Sedan. Its the front passenger door. I want to get it fixed by this weeken, so any information will be helpful. It's really aggravating. I hate WINDOWS.

 

I guess you are discribing block that runs on regulator. To replace it, if you a have limited experence remove motor and regulator as an assembly. Unsnap tape from regulator. Run motor in down direction until block clears metal rail and unsnap from tape. You will need both guide clips that attach to front and rear edges of glass, one or both are likely to break when glass is removed from regulator.
