I'm new at this forum and I've to say that I come from Austria, so my english isn't the best, sorry about this^^

Ähm I've a 1981 Cadillac Sedan DeVille V8 6l and some questions!

My cadillac has the trouble code E15 that points to "open coolant sensor" now I've the question how to check the sensor If the sensor is the reason, or the cable!

4 years ago the car was washed in the engine room and since this the car has given a "piep" and check engine light! the piep is gone away but the check engine light is still there, and now I'd use the car, but not if it has a problem^^

If somebody thinks that the sensor is broken down, pleas tell me how to exchange them on the easiest way! I've uploaded a picture from the engine!




Then the car has in P and N gear position too much gas. Somebody explained me that the sensor could be the reason, but I'm not sure! What do you say?


Then I've in the interior behind the rear seats on the left and right side lamps for the lighting, but the plastic is broken and now I need two new plastic-windows, but I don't know how they are called and how to exchange them.

I don't know the answer to your problem, but it's good to know other people from Europe are also on this forum (I myself live in Germany).

 

yeah I'm active in many foren because I'm interested in american vehicles and so I've problems too and I search for help in different foren!

maybe someone else answers and maybe has a solution or answers for my problems or questions.

 

Hi there: Go to your heater and air cond. control panel and press off and high buttons at the same time to reset the computer code readout. Then the next time you drive see if the code E15 comes up again or has been eliminated. The coolant sensor is not a lot of money and it takes a bit of patients to replace but it solved my problem. Hope this helps.D,

 

yeah I've already read out the error code with the A/C panel, and there comes E15

hmpf exchanging the sensor is a problem, I musst take down many things from the engine to come to the sensor, but I've no choice^^

okay I've replaced the sensor, the same problem, but I'll find a solution!

but I've an other question

on my AC compressor ther is a connector broken down I've replaced the cables in my opinion, but idk if this is right!

I dare to connect the to ends, because idk what cable was right and which one left of the connector

I've a picture what i mean, maybe somebody can help me!
